Scenic Ohio Administrative Director, Job Description:

Part-time Administrative Director for small, statewide non-profit.

Lead Scenic Ohio’s organization of Board Meetings, Committee Meetings; Board Development, Internal and External Communications, PR & Marketing efforts, grant writing and fundraising.  Person should be a visionary who has the skills to implement and meet annual goals and objectives of the Board.

Key qualities of the right person:  Passion for our Mission –Safe & Beautiful Highways and the conservation of Ohio’s scenic resources.  Organized, proactive, persistent, with excellent follow-through.  Excellent written, verbal, and social media skills.

 

Compensation and Time Commitment:

16 – 20 hours/ week, annual compensation $24,000, to $26,000.  Based on performance, this position could grow in salary and responsibilities.

Scenic Ohio Administrative Director priorities would break down as follows: 1/2 time organizational structure, planning, project & program execution, and ½ time fundraising and development.

Goals for 1st year 

At the 1 year mark success will be measured against Annual Operating Plan;

  1. Strategic Plan updated, under the direction of the Board
  2. Assist the Board in preparing Annual Operating Budget.
  3. Other activities/efforts should be self-funding e.g., sponsors for Newsletter and Awards Event.
  4. Board should be full with active Members.
  5. Advisors organized is a meaningful way.
  6. Committees formed and functioning, goals set.
  7. Fundraising success should equal or exceed annual compensation, from grants, donor lists and fund raising efforts.
  8. Policies and procedures should be refined.
